Personally blackra1n is better, all you do is click 2 buttons and your done, it all does the same thing, jailbreak, so use the easier less risky blackra1n jailbreak

Yes I tought that but it only works some times…for example in my most recently ipod 2g 16gb it doesn’t work….

why is it that when i try to restore my firmware in itunes so i have a fresh ipod to us ein readsn0w i get the error: ‘could not be restored because firmware is not compatible’. my ipod id a iPod touch 3G (MC Model) running firmware 3.1.2. the name of the firmware file is iPod3,1_3.1.2_7D11_Restore.ipsw

it means hold down shift key while clicking restore button in itunes and select the firmware file, then restore your ipod.
