my local store has a 16gb 2nd gen ipod touch for $300 (AU), but also offers the newer 3g models for their standard price. I’m in a battle between the 8gb 3g and the 16gb 2g. I was thinking about upgrading the software to the latest version for the small fee on the 16gb so it would be the same as the 8 giger just with more capacity. So what should I get, $268 8gb or $300 16gb?

@FR3DY131 I don’t consider the 8GB a 3G, it’s still a 2G IMO. It has the old 2G processor, 128MB of ram (3G has 256), no voice activation, it even uses 2G firmware.
