I even managed to mess up the LCD because a piece of the bezel/frame was stuck on the bottom right side clip. So right now I have a small piece stuck on the clip that I cant get out, and I cant put the new digitizer unless I take it off.

@burntbit Yeah, the new screen works. Looks like you have to use the original bezel, or if not prise off the button plate and replace the plate on the new bezel.
@burntbit There’s a tiny piece of circuitry on the metal plate under the home button. The replacement kit I purchased from ebay didn’t have it. I’m currently fitting the old plate with the circuit, but haven’t re-assembled the thing yet.
Dude I was so stoned watching this that I took a cordless drill to open mine up. Needless to say its trashed….so I jus roll joints on its dead carcass.
aww dat suxk!! i dnt see how ppl break the ipods doing this i was high while takeing mines apart and it didnt break well i broke my bezel but easy brought a new one..
