@ 12344richard If the screen is broken already, so why not cut the ribbon cable? He did a lot of space available for you to work in. You do not have to cut it if you do not want to. Just around the restriction of space until you can remove the ribbon cable from the display assembly to the board.

@ Jimboko33 replace only the glass screen, you lose the visual clarity and the retina in order to align the two parts you would need to be 100% accurate (as a machine). Removing the LCD digitizer, you would damage either the monitor or the scanner. This is not a reliable way to repair the Touch 4 (4 or iPhone, the Nano 6th), due to damage caused in order to separate the LCD digitizer. We use the OEM installation screen quality, like Apple

@ Gordoya12 To correct the bumps in the plate you’ll have to disassemble the machine and literally the work of the metal back into place. You can use a clamp with rags on the metal, so you do not scratch, to ensure the back plate as you work. Use a pair of needle noise if possible. Do not use heating tools, only the “elbow grease” and it is a difficult task, but after time, you should be able to work full or hollow tooth from the back plate.
