ClassicGameRoom HD reviews METAL GEARSOLIDTOUCH for iPod Touch and iPhone from Konami. This adbridged version of MGS4 has drastically different gameplay from its big brother but makes for one of the bestiPod action games available from iTunes. The Metal Gear Solid Touch video game app on iPod Touch and iPhone has awesome gameplay featuring Solid Snake and the other characters from MGS4 . This is an arcade shooter style game where you pop up from cover with Snake’s M4 and MVS sniper rifle and take out PMCs and other enemies. Awesome and fun, it even has the musical score from Metal Gear Solid 4. Spend Drebin points on artwork in the store and use the MGS Touch artwork as your iPod background.
just bought the game, I love it pretty addictive. But I can’t find a way to save the unlocked backgrounds onto my iphone… There doesn’t seem to be a save menu or anything… does anyone have a clue?
when u said that it was a fantastic action game for the ipod touch, and i saw the gameplay, i was like…WTF is this a joke? but apparently its an amazing game for the ipod touch.
I might try this out sometime, im currently on my 7th play through of MGS4, ive beaten it about 3 times over the past week or s, trying to build up enough DP for the bandana, i already got the stealth camo.
@Frankenstrat247 what system was that and were computers still things like apple 2 Macintosh, 1kb ram, dos? I think they would do good now. Noone can deny the ability of the little iphone, that wasn’t designed for gaming i ´n the first place. Multimedia, yes, but gaming, no. These games look and play better than some games on consoles today. Hell, this thing looks better than the Wii. Even though the Wii does have shit graphics, just compare fifa 09 and fifa 10 onn 360, ps3 and wii.
Wow! Yeah, it’s simple, but it looks great and reminds me somehow of Operation Wolf for the arcade and NES. SAAAY…Apple, have u guys ever thought about making a video game system and just squashing the competition?
Are you implying that Peace Walker won’t be awesome?
Though if you mean it like “well, of course MGSTouch isn’t as good as Peace Walker, it’s on the fucking iPhone,” then you missed my point. My point is that this game should have nothing to do with Metal Gear, but Konami forced the IP down the game’s throat, because they want to whore out the franchise.

Sure its got nice graphics but the gameplay is a little repetitive and boring. I had it while it was on sale on itunes, but have deleted it now.

If this just had nothing to do with Metal Gear in any way at all, this game probably would of been cool.
But as it is, it’s a laughable product and proof that Konami wants to make Metal Gear another whored out franchise.
At least Peace Walker will be awesome.
