Question by (=~*Amy*~=): How do I transfer my “ipod touch” songs into my “itunes library“? why do unchecked songs still show in my ipod?
My itunes wasnt working for the longest time and just today I finally got it to work so in the button that says “library” it says i have around 300 songs but under Devices where it says “ipod touch” it says I have around 600.
I unchecked the songs I don’t want any more from my ipod touch because I don’t exactly want them deleted I just don’t want them playing in my itouch for now. But after i synced it, it’s still in my ipod.
And if i press ‘sync only checked songs and videos’ my ipod touch will clear out and go back to having only the 300 songs that are under the itunes library.
So if unchecking and checking songs under ipod touch doesn’t do anything what does it do?
And how can I transfer all my ipod touch songs into my itunes library?
I don’t want to lose all my music because that’ll be so much money gone to waste. Thanks

I don’t know if we are allowed to do this but it is not downloading anything illegal, nor using internet programmes but merely using your my computer options.
Firstly plug your iPod in, obviously. Make sure itunes is not adding music or videos.
Then:
Go in my computer
Double click on the iPod icon. (it may differ for other Windows / MAC computers)
Click on File
Then click folder and search options
Click the tab view
Now click the box/circle which says Show hidden files and folders
There now – hopefully – should be a folder called iPod_control
Then the folder music
And there should be many folderd which have your music within which you can copy to your computer/hard drive.
Hope this helps and you get your music back. BTW I suggest you follow the steps and click Do not show hidden files, as you get many unneeded files.
