The past week has been busy for the Apple jailbreaking community, with an exploit found in Safari on the iphone and ipod touch on 3.1.3 firmware that could allow you to jailbreak by simply going to a certain website. geohot also showed off an untethered jailbreak for the MC model 2nd generation ipod touch, 3rd generation ipod touch and iphone 3GS on 3.1.3. It also will likely be able to be used in iphone OS 3.1.4 as well as perhaps with the ipad.

ill sure be glad when i can finally jailbreak…my shitty slow ipod touch is jailbroken with all the apps…while my iphone 3gs is just a lame touch screen phone without shit to do on it…

What do you think about Greenpo1son,I heard it’ll come out same montha on April.for me if Blackra1n comes,I’ll go with Blackra1n coz it’s so much easier & fast & not going to errase files that already download(contact/pctr/etc) if the processin is same.

@ChronicDevTeam It might be 3.2, but Apple doesn’t want to leave a bug like this out for long so I wouldn’t be surprised if 3.1.4 comes out in the next couple days.

@mitchyy90 Tethered means that every time your iPod or iPhone turns off (and I mean all the way off) it will say connect to iTunes. It won’t turn on at all, so you have to plug it into blackra1n or whichever jailbreak program you used and it will turn it on for you. Untethered is just as it would seem, you can turn it on and off without worrying about anything.
