HTC Sensation XE Assessment Part 2

January 29, 2012 | In: IPhone 4

Are you excited about the HTC Rezound? pdog.ws Aaron reviews the HTC Sensation XE, the first Beats by Dr. Dre HTC device and the European brother to T-Mobile‘s HTC Sensation 4G. It’s powered by a 1.five GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU and offers a four.3-inch qHD display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording, 1730 mAh battery, Android 2.3 with HTC Sense 3., and a great pair of Beats headphones. It really is not accessible for acquire in the United States, but for individuals in Europe, it would make for a fantastic choice to the iPhone 4S and other Android gadgets. Part two of 2. Facebook: www.facebook.com Twitter: www.twitter.com Win Cost-free Phones: instantwin.phonedog.com
Video Rating: 4 / five

Perhaps just my viewpoint, but it really is challenging to discover a transportable, cost-effective, and large top quality external mic for the iPhone 4. I considered a handful of choices, and ultimately found the Edutige EIM-003 with five meter extension cable. I assume the sound is great and there is no want for the kVconnection adapter. UPDATE: Not verified, but this mic should work with the iPhone 4S, too!

PhoneDog, you talk like a machine-gun – which for someone with sloppy enunciation and a very strong accent, is not good.
It makes understanding you hard work!
Try slowing it down a bit for a more professional, respectful presentation.

@dkodko11 Thanks for the comments. Interesting solution with the hole! I wouldn’t try it personally because I’ve never had a problem with the speaker phone. As for your question… Yes, people will be able to hear you, but you won’t hear them because once the mic’s plugged in, the phone thinks it’s a pair of headphones. No sound will come from the speaker. Haven’t verified this, but it happens when I use the mic with my MacBook. I have to take out the mic or the speakers don’t work.
Thanks

Nice product, but a lot of people are having issues with their iphone 4 when talking on speaker phone, I heard if you poke the mic with a needle through the small hole on top of the iphone it’ll take care of the issue, but curious if I use that Edutige EIM-003 mic, will people hear me if I use speaker phone? Thanks.

Hi Carl, I am going to be recording both spoken interviews and musical performances at a very loud and noisy music convention. I know the -003 will do fine with the music, but is it sensitive enough to pick up the interviews if it’s plugged directly into the camera? What kind of proximity is required for the -003 to pick up voices effectively? I’m trying to avoid buying both but may not have a choice. Your thoughts are very much appreciated. Paul

@hilaryhoe Hi! Great questions! Thanks.

1. Yes, you can plug it in and you’re good to go. Nothing needs to be set up. If you get their wire, it’s got a input gain adjustment. Just do a couple of tests to see what works best for you.

2. Yes, it can be used like a voice recorder. It’s what I’ve been doing recently. I use this mic to do separate audio for my videos.

3. Not sure. Problem is your splitter will need to be iPhone compatible.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have more questions!

Hi Carl. Got a couple of questions:
1. Do we simply plug in and use it with the camera? Are there any settings that need to be done?
2. Can it be used only to take audio, without video?
3. Can we buy TWO mics, put them into a splitter, so we can get the same quality from two people talking?

Cheers!

Hey Carl. I just got my EIM-003 in the mail. I’m using it with my iphone 4s. I’m just wondering, do I simply plug the mic into the extension cable and the cable into the iphone, and then record with the iphone’s built in camera app? Thanks in advance!

@aphoenixrising11 Hi! Thanks for watching the video and for the question.

Yes, you’re right. It’s not wireless.

I’ve also wondered what to do if I was interviewing someone. I think the best way would be to attach the mic directly to your iPhone without the wire. You can then use it like a handheld mic.

If you’re both sitting, you could put the mic, with cable or not, on a table in between you and your interviewee. Just try to angle the mic up if you can.

Thanks and hope that helps!

Carl- this doesn’t look like it’s wireless… Correct? Also, if I want to interview someone and I have the mic on me, do u think the mic will pick up the voice of the interviewee? Thanks for the vid.

@mynameisweevil Thank you. The only time there’s interference is if you have the phone charging. And if you have a MacBook and use the mic with it, you will get interference if the MacBook is plugged in.

Thanks very much for the video Carl, very informative.

With some microphones of this type you have to put the phone into airplane mode to avoid interference. Do you have to do this with the EIM-003?

Thanks for watching and for the comment! The EIM-003 is sold as a monitoring mic. The difference, to my untrained ears, is that the EIM-003 picks up everything the way it is naturally. The EIM-001 picks up sounds at a slightly different frequency, I think, so it sounds different. From the videos I saw of people reviewing the EIM-001, I didn’t like it. There seemed to be too much noise and the volume isn’t as loud as the EIM-003. I like my 003 because the sound is, to me, clearer.

@Barbossapasa And is the 003 better for music? I’m not a musician, nor claim to know anything about making music, but I would say yes. The reason being that the 003 picks up everything as is, which I think would be important for music.

Thanks again and hope that helps.

So EIM-003 is definately better because some ebay sellers claim that EIM-001 is more suited to lectures and interviews whereas the eim-003 is more for music

@iaingbrennan Thanks for watching and for the comment/question. The mic is sold as a monitoring mic, so I assume it’ll work well for guitar. Sorry I don’t actually know :(
