@Bigfuzzyify if u buy a “lower dock assembly” it will fix the broken speaker/mic/charging and cost like 6-10euro on ebay.

Please someone tell me. Will replacing my dock connector also replace the ringer speaker? My 3gs has gone silent but with external speakers plugged in sounds work. I assume this means my speaker has gone it. Please advise.

She’s cute. And those glasses are a smart addition.
Thanks for helping me fix my busted phone. I was about to punt kick it across the parking lot (when someone called all I got was static and crackling from the speakers).

@iFixitYourself Thank you. The LCD screen was original but unfortunately I saw that I messed up the LCD screen on the bottom near the home buttton trying unsuccessfully to remove the LCD for cleaning. Do you thing that killing some of the pixals would make the entire screen become white and with lines? Or would this still be a connection problem? I tried multiple times to disconnect and reconnect but i still get the same result, I sometimes can see the icons but like in a white tint.

@SunWindRain Robots don’t have “bloopers” the way you meager humans do. That’s just one reason why we’re superior and will eventually enslave you all.
:) Seriously though, I’m thinking about putting a blooper reel together. I mess up so much it’d be about an hour long. –mj

@vbsoccer008 I know it sounds dumb, but try reconnecting the connectors again. A lot of times it takes 4 or 5 attempts before they connectors are “really” connected. Did you buy the screen from us? If so, and reconnecting the connectors doesn’t work, please send us an email at support(at)ifixit(dot)com and we’ll make sure to send you a new one! Will you let me know if you get it working? –mj
