if my ipod touch 3g 4.2.1 is tethered can i still use it without connecting it to my computer? or can i use it only with connecting it to my computer ????

since your ipod has a jailbreak then when it completely shuts off, because you ran out of battery, then the only way to turn the iPod on and use it lke normal is to “Reboot” your IPOD. which is another way of saying restart it.
No if you have a tethered ipod you have to connect it to a computer and turn it on by running blackra1n. if its untethered you can reboot it without using a computer.

@MerryXbox you’ll be able to get the untethered when it comes out. no idevice is jailbroken forever, trust me. Once a new firmware comes out on iTunes, wait for the dev team to release a new jailbreak and say it’s ok for your device.

OK, Tethered jailbreaks aren’t all bad. I mean, how many of us ACTUALLY let our idevices batteries die? If your battery dies THAT much, by all means go buy one of those portable battery packs.

This video helped. So unthethered is better? And to change a jailbroke ipod 2g back to normal you have to restore and you will lose everything and have to put it back on?
