Connect your iPod Touch or iPhone to your computer. 2. Go into iTunes 8.2 Beta and wait for it to recognize your iDevice. 3. Click the shift button and left-click on Restore at the same time. The 3.0 firmware is not in .ipsw but in in zip file. And it won’t show in itunes!!

wtf i didnt know you have to pay for 3.0? my itunes just said a new firmware is out and asked me to if I wanted to update or not. Obviously I selected yes and it downloaded it and updated my firmware… it didnt say anything about paying for it… am I missing something here?
