Can you help me? My phone was jailbroken with Blackra1n and is on 3.1.2. I’m finding that I can add a lot of the new apps to my phone because they are requiring 4.0 or above. How can I upgrade my iPhone to the latest firmware and maintain or re-jailbreak my phone. I have a 3GS on the on the old bootrom.

@brownsk8er169 Do you know how to get the “save modified buffer (answering No will destroy changes)? I mean i get everything but how do you save it that’s my question i’m using a mac.
i did everything liek you said to do it and i tried to restore it with 3.1 and i got the same message as ive gotten every time which was that it wasnt eligible to use that build! i dunno how many different ways i can try to do the same thing.
