i have a iphone 3g 4.0 (jailbroken with jailbreakme) and i want to tether to my ipad wifi ( so NO 3g ) i want to know if its possible on the 4.0 firmware because i heard stories that the ipad doesnt reconize the mywi networks…. PLEASE HELP!!!!

@bigboigman There isn’t. it all depends on your cellular data plan. I’m on t-mobile’s $9.99 Unlimited Web plan and can tether for as long as i want.
My only gripe is Edge is considerably slower than 3G, otherwise it works and there’re no limits. You can connect as many devices as you want (at least theoretically), but keep in mind that the more devices connected to the wifi, then the slower it gets.

I have recently bought an iphone 3gs, which was unlocked. i decided to erase and reset it, as i am the new owner. however, after installing the new os4.0.2, it says that the sim card is not supported and that i need to use the sim card that came with it. the problem is, i have no clue what sim card came with it, and i have tried o2, 3network t-mobile, orange and vodafone. i can’t activate my iphone. please help me on this matter.

i have an unlocked 3gs os 3.1.3 baseband 05.12.01, i want to upgrade it to 4.0.1 and get it unlocked, but im afraid that when i upgrade to 4.0.1 using itunes, my phone will be locked before i unlock it using ultrasnow. when it is locked, i cannot even go to cydia, isnt it? so what should i do?
