I FIGURED OUT HOW TO PREVENT THE VERYFYING ERROR!! ALLLLL you have to do is keep the text file open whileyou do everything. dont even close it while its restoring or it will be like oh hey something changed. just found this out myself:))

@MGT2PHX13 I think that means that the firmware version is no longer singed by apple. If your looking to jailbreak it you can do it on 4.1, look at my other videos

ok i downloaded the software and i presed shift and restore and after 2 minutes it said error 3194 im trying to downgrade to 4.0 am i doing something wrong?

@cool2bsam i think this is because you are trying to downgrade to a old firmware the apple doesent support anymore, try a newer one

@ballietbran the model dosent matter this works for all, why are you wanting to go back to 3.1.2 i reccomend going to 4.0 or 4.0.1. maybe try restarting your pc and making sure you have the correct firmware file for your device

@360fedor no you should be able to downgrade your ipod touch to version 4.0 just make sure in the list that you get the correct one for your device, theres different firmware for first gen second gen etc.

@izaakski do i have to download the 3.1.3 version for my ipod? because that was my original version. and the 4.0 download wont let me restore because it says something like it is not compatible with the ipod. please help
