ok i managed to restore it but it again went back to the screen with the usb cable and itunes logo!!!!! do i have to upgrade my itunes as well?

try using itunes 8.1 ..install it and then try to downgrade putting in recovery mode

3.0 DOWNGRADE STEPS:
ok to downgrade…. hold the home and power button down.. After it turns off wait a few seconds and let go of the power…hold it for about 10 seconds then let go.. ur computer should see it in a bit.. Now that its in DFU, HOLD THE SHIFT BUTTON AS U CLICK ON RESTORE, a box will pop up giving you the option to find the firmware… Once u find it press enter and ur on ur way back to 2.2

i dono how i got from 2.2.1 to 3.0 i want to get rid of 3.0 and want to restore back to 2.2.1 i tried few times back i end up with 3.0 please someone help and what is this quickpwn i m new to this i dono much please help, i jus purchesed this software which i can unlock my iphone but i messed it up everything .. i hv bn on this all day like a drugy lol mann helpppppppp!!
