I have a question. Since the headphones for the iPod touch 3G has a mic in it, can u use it instead of buying a mic?

This is advertised under Ipod touch in the Apple store under “Games Plus Apps” even says in the app description on the Apple store
“The next time you hear a great song for the first time and no one around you knows what its called or who performs it, let Shazam come to your rescue. Just hold iPod touch up to the speakers, and Shazam will tell you the name of the song and the artist and provide a link to purchase the song from the iTunes Store.”
