The dilemma is that you purchased an Ipod. These things are crap! They are fragile, the tech help sucks, and the release half-assed versions(seperate versions for image and video?). Trust me, just find something else.

Hi..I don’t own an Ipod brand mp3 player but I do own a couple by Iriver…at any rate its probably a simple issue. Like reinstalling the software that came with the Nano. I also looked into this a little and found a page with an “updater” for your Ipod..Check out the link..This may take care of the problem..One other thing..If you have more than one usb port..try plugging it into the other one..Sounds silly but I do that with my Treo650 sometimes

You can try turning off your iPod Nano and then turn it on again and plug it in. Or you can try calling your local apple center for help.
