There is a Go Offline button in the top right corner – that will close the chats

The chat “windows” you have open should be in a lighter grey at the top of the screen. Take your finger and slide it across from right to left. A little red delete button should pop up. Touch that, and the conversation will close. It should then still be on your computer the next time you log in.
